My "old" screen is an InnoLux N116BGE-EA2 Rev C1 ... according to PanelLook it is an eDP panel. It is the non-touchscreen version. Maybe the touchscreen versions are LVDS?

My C720 will not do a hard shurdown
My C720 will not do a hard shutdown. Instead it goes to sleep for an hour and then powers off by itself. Also, when it is operating the system operating light was blue, but is now purple in color. Has anyone found a fix to this problem?

Unable to download a user manual for CB5-132T-C1LK Chromebook. Hangs or errors result.
Acer support site offers downloads including user manuals for their products. When I attempt a download, I get system error messages, or the page hangs while accessing info, or the site fails to proceed to the next dropdown box, etc etc. It's unresponsive to my model no (CB5-132T-C1LK), S/N, SNID. Can anyone tell me how to get this to work?

Thanks very much for taking the time to supply the attachment to your post. Your reply encouraged me to try another newer Dell desktop we have here. The new one worked fine on "Select your product from a list", but froze on "search by product model" just as the first PC had. The older PC failed entirely, even when using IE instead of our usual Chrome. Both are Windows 7 Pro machines. Perhaps this will help the next person. Again, thanks for your assistance.

It sounds like it needs repair (possibly a bad mainboard or LCD). We would suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue. Service options may depend on what region you are in, and the warranty status of the product.

Appreciate you getting in touch! When I tried getting in touch with Acer by email it said I was out of warranty. I was hoping there was a better solutionthen that since all I have been reading about is how so many others have the same problem...did I get a lemon? my c720 trackpad died yesterday after 15 months...(3 months out of warranty) tried all the software fixes, they did not work...arrow shows at starttup but then disappears..is there any suggestions out there to fix this..of course the acer folks in mumbai are no help....i already decided i am buying a dell with a 3 year warranty..

Is there a manual for a cb5-132-c1lk? The Acer link takes me to a manual for a CB3-131 / C735. There is a difference between them as I am trying to determine the function of a button on the right side of the cb5. The cb5 has a button just left of the port for the audio pin. That button does not appear in the manual for the CB3-131 / C735.

That is the power button. I see the owners manual on the Acer support site, you have to choose the Documents tab to see it.

Keyboard Replacement
Just a general question, I spilled liquid on my Acer C720 as a result the keybaord not working, I have been using the online keyboard, which is too slow for typing anymore than a few words, need to replace the whole system as thinik some of the liquid got into that too, and have problems logging in from time to time. I wanted to purchase a wireless keyboard for the interim period, until I can afford to buy a new system, would any wireless keyboard work with the chromebook, or does it have to be a specific typle, I would appreciate any advice or recommendations please.

Hi – Does anyone know when the Chromebook 14 is coming to the UK – May? Also, any idea as to whether the specs for the processor will be the same as currently displayed on several websites – the Intel Celeron N3060 or N3160? Just trying to guage whether I should hold off buying a Toshiba Core i3 model or not...
